Anonymous said: Hi I'm just wondering if you need help with this blog? I'm trying to find one for us (Aus, NZ) that is big with the possibility of getting bigger and I think this one's the best one and I would really love to help!
Sorry, been pumped at work and messaged to this blog doesn’t send me email alerts.
If you’d like to submit ideas you’re more than welcome.
I’ve just been hectic busy at work
Anonymous said: Hi there :) I'm so glad I found this site, the only other sites I've found are US sites. I was wondering If you knew whether recruits are able to send and receive mail in Basic Training in NZ? My Boyfriend is joining up and doesn't think he'll be able to get any letters. Thanks!
Sorry for the delay (been moving etc.) Any kiwis able to answer this?
Not ours! Contact for removal or credit if yours!
The cover of a book of postcards depicting the devastation in Verdun, France, after it was attacked by the German army during WWI. These postcard books were frequently purchased by Americans deployed abroad, who used them to send messages back home. This particular book comes from the Memorabilia of Frances B. Latimer, CWRU Archives, 29QI.
Expect more WWI images here in the future as we prepare an exhibit on WWI propaganda and its impact on student life at Western Reserve University and the Case School of Applied Sciences.
WWII propaganda poster of the day. Nothing like Jessie the Riveter to promote non-traditional gender roles during wartime.
